We're on a mission to launch products, services, and companies that have a meaningful impact on the world.
For us Culture is not company values printed on our office walls nor a set of KPIs OKRs or belief statements reviewed once a year. Our culture is what we do, not what we say we do.
Below are a set of virtues we live out willingly everyday whether we're being 'noticed' or not.
We treat you like an adult which means we expect you to manage your time, your tasks and firect client communication when it relates to you. Ownership also means being proactive, to earn and build the trust of our clients so they trust us with building great products for them.
Taking action is your default state. When most people do things, they have to decide to do them. When you have a bias for action, you automatically do things; not doing things is what takes a decision.
We experct you to have an opinion on most things and not just go along with the group consensus. Clear points-of-view help give our work direction and purpose-robust ego-free discission is encouraged. We don't let ego get in the way.
We're curious. Our industry is fast paced and our clients expect us to be on top of what's next. We expect you to be always learning and growing without being asked because it's what you would do even if you didn't work here.
We allow you to work from wherever you like and allow you to choose the hours when you where you get your best work done.
We pay 100% of all expenses for job-related training. We also pay 100% of expenses when you speak at conferences and events.
Don't feel like working from home all the time? No sweat. We will pay up to R2000/month towards renting co-working space in your area.
You’ll receive all new equipment including a laptop, monitor, and any other accessories you need to do your best work.
No, really. We’re about outcomes over hours, how much holiday you feel you need is up to you.
We offers new parents 6 weeks of paid time to spend with the new family. Biological, adoptive and foster parents are all eligible for parental leave as well.
We regularly stick to 40 hours a week, with the very occasional emergency push demanding more.
Whether you drive yourself or catch an Uber for anything work related we cover the costs.
We have a share pool allowing you to own a stake in Urbian as you help build it.

I went from baking to technology. This is a complete jump, an absolute change in direction. No one would even think such a thing is possible.
